The beginnings of Hammer Traction was founded in Manatee County, Florida in 2012. The departure of Hyperform's Xtrak Traction from the surf industry in 2012 left no source of United States made deck grip.
3M officials were brought in to consult and provided Hammer with a marine grade adhesive that boasts the ability to STAY STUCK. More carve patterns and colors were added overtime. Today the brand has expanded to offer Wake, SUP and Marine grip.
Since it's inception, Hammer Traction has continued to firmly refuse offers from overseas factories to take on the production of Hammer and he remains committed manufacturing the grip in his Florida factory.
Hammer continues expand and remains the ONLY SURF TRACTION MADE IN THE USA. As the growth and development continues, one thing stays the same - good enough is never good enough. Product development and quality control remain our top focus.
